Winter Park is located 67 miles west and north of Denver.  It is around 25 miles from the southwest corner of Rocky Mountain National Park.  The biggest attractions here are the wide variety of outdoor activities that are available.  Summer is a great time for fishing, canoeing, and hiking.  Winter is great for all kinds of skiing and other winter activities.  The area is well suited for many guests and there are many outfitters of all kinds to meet your needs, whether it's a new paddle for the canoe or a new ski jacket.

The Winter Park/Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce page has a lot of really good information on the area and the many activities that are available there.  www.winterpark-info.com

Rocky Mountain National Park is maintained by the National Park Service.  It is a great place to witness numerous species of animals in their natural habitat.  There are over 300 miles of trails, camping is available, and the Trail Ridge Road is an incredible drive.  Here is the official site of the park from the National Park Service: www.nps.gov/romo
