Dining
While in Winter Park, we ate at some really great local restaurants.
If you are ever in the area, check all or some of these out.
Hernado's - Great pizza is putting it lightly. The place
is decorated with $1 bills that customers have marked, drawn on,
etc. If you are in town for only one meal, this might be the
place to go.
The Kitchen - a tiny little place (only 8 tables) that is only
open for breakfast. The sign on the door says if you're in a hurry
you are in the wrong place and they aren't kidding. We had to wait 5
minutes for a table, then an hour to get our food. We weren't in a
hurry though and just enjoyed the coffee and colored our placemats, then
had an awesome breakfast.
Smokin' Moes - The night we were there, they had an awesome
special on barbeque chicken and ribs dinner, which we both had and thoroughly
enjoyed. The sauce was unique, but very tasty.
Crooked Creek Salon - (Fraser) Kind of a bar and restaurant type
place that specialized in steaks and other dinners. The place had an
old west feel to it. The prime rib was on
special the night we were there. Both of us enjoyed it very
much.
The Last Waltz - This was a nice restaurant, a little more fancy than some
of the other places, but again the food was very good. We stopped
there for breakfast on our way out of town.
