Other Attractions We VisitedA couple of other places we visited while in St. Louis were Busch Stadium for a Cardinals game, and Union Station for food and shopping. Busch StadiumWe went to see the Cardinals play the Reds on what turned out to be an extremely hot and humid night. When the game ended, it was still 85 degrees. We were in the center field seats, mostly because they were cheap. We could still see pretty good from there. If you are a baseball fan, it is important to see a game at Busch Stadium. The reasons have more to do with the fact that St. Louis really is a big baseball town. The fans are knowledgeable and love the game. It's a nice ball park too, although the Cardinals are looking at having a new one built. That's a shame, because it seems like a nice park to us, but baseball economy these days dictates the need for a new ballpark.

visit: Union StationUnion Station is a National Historic Landmark. At one time, it was the busiest railroad terminal in the world. In 1985, Union Station reopened, containing a hotel, restaurants, and a variety of shops. Stacie and Brandy went there to eat lunch with Brandy's mom and some of their relatives. All of us were there in April when we went down scout out the territory. The Hard Rock Cafe is located in the general area along with several other good places to eat. There is a wide variety of different shops in the area also. It is a beautiful area and is fun to walk around. It's definitely worth a stop. |
