Our trip to Omaha was just a brief one, as we went for a weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Neither of us had much vacation time built up, but we knew we wanted to do something so we celebrated in Omaha. It was a good place to go that wasn't too far away, but yet there were some cool things for us to see.
There were big places we went that this site will focus on - the Old Market, Henry Doorly Zoo, and the Lewis and Clark Memorial Park in Council Bluffs.
Certainly there is more to do than the little bit we saw and there is more information about area attractions in General Info. We had a really fun weekend. The Old Market is a fun place to walk around and do some shopping, the Henry Doorly Zoo is top notch and the Lewis and Clark Memorial was a nice quiet place with a really cool view.
