Trip Overview
Our trip was from July 15-19, 1999. Neither of us had a lot of vacation time and we were trying for somewhat of a budget trip. For us, the trip also afforded us the opportunity to see some of Bob's relatives on the way out and the way home.
Thursday
- Drove to House on the Rock and spent the afternoon there
- Went to Wisconsin Dells area a drove around
- Spent the night in Baraboo where motel rates where cheaper
Friday
- Noah's Ark Water Park
- Headed for Milwaukee that evening. Spent the Night in Watertown (west of Milwaukee) after having trouble finding a place to stay.
Saturday
- Found a motel in Germantown (northern suburb of Milwaukee)
- Drove around the Lake Shore area
- Walked by the Marina
- Went to a Brewers-Royals game in old County Stadium
Sunday
- Went to the Zoo
- Drove back west and camped at Governor Dodge State Park
Monday
- Toured Crystal Cave in Dubuque, IA
- Stopped at relatives
- Arrived home
