Other AttractionsWhile in Wisconsin, saw several other things besides the ones we have dedicated pages to. Here is a brief description of some of those places. Governor Dodge State ParkOn our last night, we camped at Governor Dodge State Park near Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Bob had camped there before with family when growing up. It is a very large state park with many different activities and hundreds of camp sites spread throughout. They have sites meeting a variety of needs and there are showers available. There are many trails, playgrounds, water activities of all kinds and much more to do there. It was really hot and stormed all night when we were there, which possibly ended any hope for Bob going camping with Stacie again. Stacie wasn't a happy camper. Pabst MansionWhile driving around town one evening, we found the Pabst Mansion. The Mansion is open to the public (for a fee), but we happened to be there after hours. We walked around the building and wished we would have time to go inside the next day. The house was built in 1982 and was home of Captain Frederick Pabst. For more information visit their web site at: www.pabstmansion.com Wisconsin DellsMost of our time in the Dells was spent at Noah's Ark Water Park, but we did drive around town quite a bit to look around. We could have stayed busy for a few more days if we didn't have plans to go to Milwaukee also. It is a very commercial and tourist oriented town. The population is only 3,000-4000 people, but there are at least 3 water parks, several mini golf and go-cart places, rides of all kinds scattered here and there, various boat tours, including the duck boats that had been used in World War II and a ton of other things. Here are a couple of good web sites to visit if you want to learn more about Wisconsin Dells: www.wisdells.com and www.dells.com
