Great Lakes Aquarium
There are many aquarium exhibits along with several natural history, natural science and cultural exhibits. The exhibits were very well laid out and inviting for visitors to see. As someone who really enjoys museums and has some museum studies experience, I (Bob) was very impressed with this museum (Stacie liked it too.) There were many interactive exhibits that are fun for young and old and many neat lessons to be learned. There are also a lot of fish in various tanks throughout. There are other animals there too, like birds and frogs - just what you would expect at an aquarium. It is a large place - over 62,000 square feet spread out over two floors. We really enjoyed touring the aquarium. It was very evident that a great deal of thought and planning was put into design a fun, yet educational museum. We spent over 2 hours looking at the different displays. They have a good web site if you are interested in more information. The virtual tour is somewhat of a letdown since all of the images are artist drawings, but it does provide very good information on what you can expect to see if you go there. It was definitely worth the price of admission. There web site is at: www.glaquarium.org/.
