We went to Duluth, Minnesota to celebrate our 2nd wedding
anniversary. Our trip was from September 21-25, 2000.
We really enjoyed our trip to Duluth. We saw many area
attractions including the Glensheen Mansion and the Great Lakes
Aquarium. We took in some of the local
cuisine, walked down the North Shore Lake Walk and in general took things
pretty spontaneously. |

We also went 20 miles north of Duluth to see
beautiful Gooseberry Falls State Park and the lighthouse at Two Harbors.
Duluth is a great place to visit if you like the outdoors or
history. There are many opportunities for fishing, boating, camping,
hiking and skiing, depending on the time of year you go. For history
buffs, there are many museums, especially targeting the history of
Lake Superior and the rail and shipping industries. One of the
best things about visiting Duluth is it is a relatively small city -
85,000 people, but it can accommodate a lot of visitors. Due to it's
small size, it is easy to get around and to find things there.
If you have never been to Duluth for a visit, it is definitely worth
the trip. We had a great time there and can't wait to go back
someday.
