About Us

We have been married since September, 1998.  This web site is devoted to trips we have taken since we've been married.   Bob is an Information Technology Specialist with the State of Iowa and Stacie is an RN at a local hospital.  We do not have any kids.

We love to travel and would like to do more.  Vacation time and money are the major inhibiting factors.  We try to keep our vacations fairly low budget without letting that interfere with the vacation.  We still like to eat out at some nice restaurants, etc. but we also take our own pop and juice for the car rides and try to stay in decent motels that aren't real expensive.  

We like to do a variety of different things when we travel.  Some of the things we like include:

• going to baseball games and collecting souvenir baseballs
• zoos and animal parks
• touring big old houses and going to museums
• hiking on trails

We have created this site for several reasons.   For starters, it gives us a way to document the trips we've been on for our own historical keepsake memories.  Bob usually takes a notebook a long and writes down notes about the days on vacation.  Stacie helps too.  It's fun to look over stuff like that later on.  Sometimes it even helps identify object in pictures that looked really cool when you were taking the picture. 

Secondly, the Internet has given us an easy way to share our trip experiences with family and friends - those that are cruising the net anyway.

The final reason and perhaps the main reason this ends up coming about is that Bob loves to play on the computer and this gives him a chance to play with his continually evolving web development/design skills.  Keep checking back because the site will continue to evolve.  Everytime we take a trip, something will be added.  Plus, Bob will be playing with different pieces to add new elements and fun stuff as his skills progress.
